The central hope for the Christian is our future resurrection and the culmination of our salvation whereby our spirits are reunited with bodies crafted from incorruptibility in the resurrection of the dead. But all of this is firstly dependent upon one historical fact: the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
If there is no resurrection:
- Then Christ has not been raised
And if Christ has not been raised
- (1) Preaching is useless
- (2) Faith is futile
- (3) Christians are liars
- (4) You are still in your sins
- (5) Your loved ones who have died are lost forever
- (6) Christians are the most pathetic
Conclusion:
If there is no resurrection
- (1) Why get baptized as a Christian?
- Free yourself from religion!
- (2) Why risk your life for the gospel?
- Don’t go, don’t evangelize, don’t make disciples!
- (3) Why sacrifice material possessions and satisfaction?
- Let’s eat drink and be merry!

Bad company corrupts good character
Who influences where you find truth? What is authoritative for what you believe? Where is the source of your information? When did you start believing lies? Why do you listen to who you listen to?
