Grace Church

Missionpulpit

To worship and acknowledge God in all we do as disciples of Jesus Christ who love, encourage and serve each other and our community”

Who We Are

We are a small community-driven, Christ-centered, bible-based, fun-and-fellowship-loving church located in the heart of the mining and logging country in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  God has shown his faithfulness to this congregation through the years, and we extend an open invitation to anyone who desires to worship and know our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

What We Believe

We believe that God is one in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  We believe that mankind is separated from God because of sin.  We believe that salvation is impossible for man, but accomplished through the life, death, and resurrection of God’s eternally begotten son, Jesus Christ, to all those who believe and trust in Him as Lord.  We believe that Jesus is returning again, and until that day it is our joy, as His body here on earth, to serve Him in the process of redemption, beginning with the hearts and souls of our neighbors, and extending throughout the world.

Historyoldchurch

Grace Presbyterian Church is located in beautiful Sagola, MI.  On May 15th 1928, a meeting was held to discuss the building of a church.  The group voted to build a Presbyterian Church and elders were elected.  The building campaign pledge cards were passed out to all the members and the meeting was closed with prayer. It was during the summer of 1928 that the Presbyterian Chruch was built on the site where it stands today.  It is now being used by the residents of both Channing and Sagola. The total cost for the church back in 1928 was $2,501.00!  With $36.95 for the cost of a large bell.
