We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day for our annual Grace Church Fishing Derby! This year’s turnout was fantastic with many first-timers. With eager poles in the water, there was much anticipation for who would land that illusive lunker!
Some of the kids cast way out into the weeds and pulled in some whoppers from beyond the dock, others dropped a worm just off the edge and pulled in some beauties. Once the fish stopped biting, it was hot-dogs and swimming!
Special thanks to the Channing Bait Shop and Bob and CJ for the generosity of preparation and provisions for making this special day fun for everyone. Trophies and special awards will be given out at the July Community Meal.
