This Sunday we were blessed to have two of our missionaries join us for worship and report on God’s faithfulness over the past 12 months. Heather Petty, serving in the DR, shared how their ministry continues to grow and how the church can be involved in many ways. The Turners shared of God’s goodness to bring 7 new baptisms through their ministry and a continued vision of outreach through creative meetings like an annual “out-door” service.
We were also blessed to have two of our high schoolers commissioned for a summer of service at Lake Ellen where they lead music and serve as camp counselors. Our missionaries, elders, and church family prayed for them as they are sent out from us to carry the message of the gospel with words and works for those very impressionable weeks that youngsters have at camp.
