Remembering Pastor Dave
Sept 16, 1947 – July 26, 2016

daveOn July 26th Dave Anderson went home to be with our Lord. After battling cancer for many years, he said he was at peace, and ready to finish the race having kept the faith and finished the fight.

Below are a few of the tributes and comments from Grace’s Facebook page. Thank you Pastor Dave. You will be forever missed on this side.

Today I heard that Pastor Dave passed away. Please say a prayer for Pastor Dave’s family today. He certainly meant allot to many of the people he touched over the years with his living through the word. I hadn’t known Dave nearly as long as many of the folks who will read this but he had a huge impact on me and my family. But he’s in a better place now and heaven certainly gained today.

Sad day for many today. The man touched alot of people in his career, including Kris and myself. He married us , baptized our grandchildren, and was always there when ever you needed him . He was the spiritual leader of our church family and a great friend. He was at my side within hours Of when I had my stroke. He will be missed by all. God bless you David and rest in peace.

02Although we did not attend Sunday church services on a regular basis, whenever we did go, pastor Dave and his wife Marie both made us feel welcome and a part of the church family. He will be missed by everyone. Prayers to the Anderson family.

Such sad news that we have lost a wonderful man. He and I shared many thoughts and prayer during both my bouts with cancer and his too. As I wrote my book I had included Dave’s letters and notes and told of his encouragement and prayers. He always had a scripture quote that was so appropriate for that moment. We would share our favorites. After I was in remission we would share our thoughts and prayers when we would meet. Dave will be missed by all but we can find comfort knowing he is with God in paradise. My prayers have always been offered for him and his whole family, and they will continue.

I was blessed to work with “Chaps” for 6 years at DCH. He was a godly man with a great sense of humor and love for his fellow man. He will be greatly missed here on earth, but is rejoicing in heaven with Jesus! Prayers for his family at their loss.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants.
