The character of God as redeemer is most clearly seen when we submit our life circumstances to Him: to allow His purpose and His glory to shine through our trials. 

Observations: The features of Redemption   

  1. Turn the hearts of the fathers to their children
  2. Turn the disobedient to wisdom
  3. Make ready a particular people

Conclusions: 

  1. God’s redemption is found in the turning of our hearts
  2. God’s redemptive “turning” identifies you as “the Lord’s” 

Application: 

  1. Where do you need to turn?
  2. Let this turning characterize you as Christians

Acts 9:35

“All those who lived in Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord.”

2 Corinthians 3:16

“But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.”

1 Thessalonians 1:9

“They themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God.”

1 Peter 2:25

“For you were going astray like sheep but now you have turned back to the shepherd and guardian of your souls.”
