Refocus – Worship

Refocus – Worship

When we think of worship, do we consider it an essential part of our lives?  Has our Christian culture taught us that worship is only something that happens when we sing, or at church?  In order to fully know God’s will, we must understand that worship is something we do with our entire life.

Observations:
Why

1. Refocus how you walk according to wisdom
     2. Refocus your work according to the times

What

3. Refocus your will according to God’s will

How

4. Refocus your wits according to the Spirit’s control
     5. Refocus your words according to God’s character and praise
6. Refocus your worship according to God’s sovereignty

Conclusion:

When you imitate God as His child you will supernaturally focus on His will

Application:
Where do you need to imitate God better?

How you…   live  |  work  |   desire   |   think   |   words   |    worship

Romans 8:26-27

“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.”

Philippians 1:15-18

“It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.”
