Luke: Loved Much

Luke: Loved Much

There is a challenge we face in our world today, which is identifying sin.  Unfortunately much of the world has found a way to condone, ignore, or whitewash sin.
Our lesson today examines the story of a “sinful woman” and her encounter with Jesus.  We will see how identifying sin will allow us to be freed from its oppression as we learn to lay it at the feet of Jesus to receive forgiveness.

“Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.”
– 1 Corinthians 1:31
Observations & Conclusions:
1. Peace begins by recognizing sin as sin
2. Our response to Jesus is placing Him as #1
3. Its not what others think about you, its what God says about you
4. Peace and Freedom come from forgiveness
5. Whoever is forgiven much, loves much – whoever is forgiven little, loves little
6. Jesus is God

Application:
Where are you on the spectrum?
“Righteous” Pharisee —————— “Sinful” Woman?

Hebrews 12:1
