“Mother, Daughter, Sister, Friend Tea”

“Mother, Daughter, Sister, Friend Tea”

It was a gloomy, rainy day outside but it felt like spring inside on April 30, as the ladies of Grace and their guests gathered for our 2nd annual “Mother, Daughter, Sister, Friend Tea”. Tables were decorated with individual themes ranging from “Warriors of Christ” to Unicorns and several in between, with a Birthday Party themed table thrown in for good measure. Several ladies shared memories of important women in their lives, and delicious tea cakes and other goodies were enjoyed by all in attendance (especially the little ladies).

A centerpiece of the dessert table was a “croquembouche” created by Sarah Adams. Cream puffs and meringues piled high with caramel as glue, then completely encircled by spun caramel…truly a sight to behold!  If one were to get philosophical, one could compare the caramel to the sweet memories and friendships “gluing” us together and encircling our lives, or we could simply say that we had “sweet” fellowship.
