Famlity – The Path of Their Hearts

Famlity – The Path of Their Hearts

The importance of investing in our children does not end with graduation.  Even adult children are in need of love and support from their parents, and the saying “it takes a village to raise a child” is true today more than ever.

The allure of man’s wisdom and the desire for praise and accolades are more than enough to draw many young people away from learning and following after Jesus Christ.  The difficult reality is that we must lead people towards Jesus in a world that is opposed to His rule.  This is where true “wisdom from God” is found.  It must be taught, demonstrated, and lived out before a watching generation.

John 14:4-7

“You know the way to the place where I am going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Application:

1. Tell – You are a witness for Jesus, no matter your children’s age

2. Show – Your message is not one of human wisdom, but a demonstration of the Spirit’s power

3. Do – Make certain to integrate Christ through your whole life

Deuteronomy 4:9

“Only take care, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your children’s children.”
